This is a little TMI for some so read at your own risk...
Yesterday I had some spotting which is highly abnormal for the middle of a FET cycle. Think about it, you are taking Lupron which keeps your ovaries quite, and estrogen patches and pills to ramp up your uterus lining.
I called the RE and she said it was normal to continue on all meds and she would see me Monday for my check before Friday's transfer.
Today it continues...
I have thought in the past failed cycles that maybe we were manipulating my body too much. That maybe we were forcing it to do things that were not normal and since I am a clock work kind of gal this may just be the answer. If my body is expelling half of the drugs work it will force the RE to push the transfer back a week to 2/15 which would be my normal ovulation/implantation time.
Maybe just maybe this is the best thing for us to get pregnant. Guess we will find out more on Monday.
As for current meds: Prenatal, Folic Acid, DHA, Magnesium, Baby Aspirin,
Estrodial 6mg, Climara Patch and Lupron injection. I think that is all, lol
This is the long story of our fertility journey as well as our triple blessing.

Relaxation Update
I thought I should check in this week and say HI! I am feeling a little stressed with lots of regular work stuff going on and as most know we are on the downhill slide to Derby. Derby is my most stressful time of year with so many things to get done. But I spent the first three hours of the day delegating to my wonderful staff!
Acupuncture - I have decided to post-pone the acupuncture session until the week of 2/4. I thought about it for a while and decided it was $80 a week that I could save and still do a de-stressing the week of transfer. I mean heck, the acupuncturist isn't going to be in the office next week anyway so what is the difference?
I did contact Z's today to see if I could schedule a massage for the week of the 4th. I thought that would just add to the acupuncture relaxation, right? I have a gift card from last year that I still have not used. Hot stones may just be in my future!

Acupuncture
From the recommendation of the doctor I tried acupuncture today. It was interesting, a little overrated I think. We talked for about 15 minutes then I laid on a heated table, legs elevated. She inserted needles into the side of my elbows and hands between my index finger and thumb. Next she did one between each big toe and index toe. By this time I was distracted trying to figure out what I was actually feeling. She went on to stick needles in my feet, ankles, knees and stomach.
I must say when she put them in I did get a sensation of warm tingle but that was short lived. When she was finished I laid there for 25 minutes.
Maybe someone can tell me what I should be feeling? Maybe I am a little immune to needles? I don't know but I did it and all I can hope is it works. Another $80.00 down the drain...

FET - IVF Round 3
It took some time for us to recover this time. I think it takes longer each time and the holidays probably didn't help any. I thought that would distract us but it only enhanced the emotions when you spend the holiday with family and there are babies and pregos on both sides. If you are one of those reading this, it is not personal. We are happy for you it is just difficult to see someone with what we have wanted for so long. I hope you understand.
Yesterday was my scheduling appointment where I sit down with the doctor and we review what has been and where we are going. As usual she looked at me and said I have great embryos, only this time my response was, "that doesn't matter if they don't stick". UGH! I asked her if there was anything we could do differently this time and she said the only thing we haven't tried was acupuncture. There are lots of studies but not enough long term evidence yet to prove it helps fertility. She said all of her other patients that tried it felt better and many of them ended up pregnant.
I told her I was willing to have a consultation and try it out, heck why not? The success rate in the pamphlet for this specific acupuncturist is 32% on infertility pregnancies after acupuncture. So I go next Wednesday. She said she would like to see me weekly and then before and after transfer, at $80 a pop, we'll see how that goes!
So I refilled my meds to discover that the Crinone was moved from a tier 3 drug ($60) to a tier 4 drug ($135). OF COURSE, oh and in case you didn't know, yes your insurance company can move drugs around in different tiers whenever they want!
I will post my new schedule as soon as this thing lets me.
