31+3 Check-up

The lobby was pretty full when we arrived and there were two babies!  One of which was being fed when we arrived and was SO TINY!  I just kept looking at her thinking that our babies would be that small.
I was called back for my usual check-in - BP was 109/77 which is great.
We had a new ultrasound technician which I have to say I didn't love.  She was fast with the wand and it was hard to see what she was looking at on the monitor.  She checked each baby really quick for heart beats then checked each one for movement.  Once that was complete she checked them for breathing.  Ray and Sadie were practicing their breathing but Ali was not.
This test is called BPP - Biophysical Profile Testing which is done in late pregnancy.  After her wanding and wanding over Ali I finally asked how long this test lasted.  She said it lasted 30 minutes which prompted me to ask what happens if Ali doesn't cooperate.  If she doesn't breath in the 30 minutes she gets a sonogram stimulator.  Well Ali failed!  I think she will be the stubborn child for sure!
So she got the sonogram stimulator, it was a black thingy that made noise and vibrated.  She let me feel it on my arm first and said it would startle the babies.  Sure enough when she put it down on Ali, she jumped and breathed.  Thank goodness!  Not that we thought anything was wrong with her but if that didn't work I would have to be hooked up to the monitors for an allotted time?
After Ali passed her test we waited for the Dr.  We saw Dr. Lain which I liked.  She said everything looked great and gave me lots of credit for still being up and on my feet at 31 weeks.  She said most are on bed rest or in the hospital at this stage.  She reviewed the things I need to look for and made sure I know what to do if anything changed.
So now we wait for next Wednesday with Dr. Jamie.  That should be the appointment we actually schedule the C-section and I can officially count down hours and minutes! :)
